« on: September 19, 2005, 07:49:46 pm »
Hello
I'm preparing my fiat 600 D and i wanted to change the engine head with a better one.
Anyone can tell me which models fiats the fiat 600 D engine?
I guess fiat 127, and A112 will fit the fiat 600 engine.. i heard about fiat UNO too..
Anyone can help?

I suspect the reason no one has answered your post is that changing the head will not make more power.

When Abarth wanted more power from the 600 engine he put in higher compression pistons and changed the camshaft and carburator..

He also changed the crankshaft, but you may as well just change to a Fiat 850 or A112 engine if you're going to do that.

you can fit a 850 head but need transformation and you have more comprestion ,but exhaust and carburator need to adapt. For FIA you need to change intake part (two holes instead off 4 )
