doubts about rebuilding a 903cc
« on: February 13, 2009, 11:34:40 am »
I'm preparing a new engine for my car.

I'll repair a 903cc engine and do some changes.

Yesterday i received this from a friend:

And i had allready this from Scuderia topolino

270slr camshaft
aluminium flywheel
9/39 diferencial.
the other parts you see on the picture below

In this engine i'll also use a weber 32 dmtr and electronic ignition from one a112.

I didn't opened the engine yet so i don't know how much i'll need to bore the engine but i'm thinking in the minimum possible.
The head will remain with stock valves.

What do you think about this combination? One friend told me that due to the light flywheel the relantim will be hard to keep at a reasonable level for street use. I'm not engineer so i have no clue it this will happend or not, the original flywheel weights 5.1kg and the aluminium weights 2.5kg

Regards
