Fiat 600 Headlight Bucket (1955-59)
« on: July 28, 2007, 12:11:11 am »
I'm looking for one headlamp mounting bucket for the early-model European Fiat 600 Sedan (not USA model) for my 750 Berlina project car. Definitely used on the 1955-56 models, might also have been used on 1957-59 models. Can anyone help? The item I need looks like this:

Hi JS, do you still need the glass?  I just got the pair yesterday.

Hi Gil,
Yes, I'd like to have those early glass lenses if you don't need them. These are the Carello fluted lenses with the date printed in the glass around the top edge, right? (Sorry, been awhile, trying to refresh my memory). ;)

Have you gathered up all of the parts you needed yet for your early Euro 600d headlight conversion?

I doubt I will be needing the lenses now.  They are in perfect condition too.  The headlight parts Lubo sent will be here on Monday!  The Carello lenses measure 5.25" across.  They do not fit inside the other alloy headlight rings I have (which I thought were the early ones).  Maybe they fit with the remainder of the headlight bucket pieces?

You can send me an email to my new address, gilnich@telus.net.  Have you pretty much got your early headlight setup worked out?

Well I thought I had all the parts, but just realized that I forgot to look for/find the little wire spring-clips that hold the headlight reflector to the inner rim. I can probably make some using an original from my Viotti's headlight as a reference, but I think I'd rather try to source some originals first. For the outer trim rings, I have a set of chromed ones, but I'd rather use the aluminum version, of which I currently only have one of. hard to find in decent condition. Patience is a virtue...??? ;)

On a completely different topic, can you post here or email to me those photos of the different OT1300/124 coolant reservoir tanks you have? I thought I saved them, but can't find 'em now.

Thanks,
 -JS.
