Brakes are made under license by Girling :)

This is not Moskvitch-412, this is Moskvitch-2140.
I have already talked about this car in the relevant thread
Moskvitch 412 rallye:

Moskvitch 1600 rallye (or 2140, 1976 year)

The engine looks like a BMW, but not a copy. Сenter distance between cylinders - 105mm, wet cylinder liners.
For this engine can get sports camshafts, adapter plate for using LADA/FIAT gearbox.

Photo is too small. But it is likely Moskvich 408. There's 1,360 cc weak  OHV engine.
A little history Moskvich:
Moskvich 412 was manufactured in two plants, and the cars were different in appearance.

Moskvich 412 from AZLK factory, Moscow had only a hexagonal lights with chrome grille:

Moskvich 412 from IZH factory, Izevsk had a 2 variants
a hexagonal lights with black or chrome grille:

or round lights with chrome grille, like Moskvitch 408:

Brundza mainly driven by cars IZH.

Need to look for a car with an engine UZAM-412, which is similar to BMW, Cars with engine MZMA-408 slow and they do not have any sports items.
1) 408 engine

2)412 engine

If the machine is a combination of round headlights and vertical rear lights - is Moskvich 408. Good old-timer, but no rally car :)

BUT!!!! very rare to find an early Moskvich 412 1967-1969 years
is a combination of double round headlights and vertical rear lights + 412 Engine
This is a very rare car, it looks like a luxury 408, but with the engine 412.
