Hi
my friend has a Simca 1300 Abarth , but no motor ,
I know these motors are Abarth only ,
How many motors were built ?
Did they build extra motors as spares ?
Is there any chance he will find the correct motor ?
If not he will put a Fiat motor in it , but really wants to find a Simca motor
Thanks for your advise

Does your friend have a lot of money?
Guy had a Fiat Abarth Bialbero motor for sale for USD 40K, which is probably market price.
Since the Abarth Simca motors were much more rare, I would suspect that if he can find one it will cost something like $60-70K.
Does he have that kind of money?
And if he could get one for that price, would he actually drive the car with it in it or have a Fiat motor for worry-free driving anyway?
I think that except for a few rich collectors those original Abarth motors are museum pieces for display.

Hi.....
well yes he has money,
and he has a Fiat Abarth Bialbero he could put in it if he has too,
But thats not the correct motor type for his car ,
So did they make and sell extra Simca abarth motors ?
Any idea how many motors were built ?

I would give Paul vander Heyden at Scuderia Topolino a try. I seem to recall him posting something about these engines recently.
