Have a look and its for sale to ;Ready our rolling chassis
-
front hood fittings progress
Airflow for front brakes
inner front wings will be altered to accept the big wheels
-
a update from today ,it look so good that whe will use it in rally
-
update chassis and now in same time thinking on gearbow that goos with the Fiat Twin Cam engine that turns right.
Normale I wish to adapt a Porsche 911 but mayby you have a better way ?

One suggestion:-
a) a reverse (left hand) rotation Fiat Twincam using a PBS type reverse rotation auxiliary -oil/distributor- drive-shaft
b) an Abarth - or PBS type- 1300/124/850 bellhousing
c) a Bacci type 137 5 speed -dog engagement - 850 based transmission including optional lsd, or
d) a 5 speed standard 850 synchromesh transmission with overdrive (currently available Italy)
Advantages are:-
no adaptor plates required for engine / transmission connection;
standard 850 clutch and transmission setups including mountings/linkages/ driveshafts etc used; cv driveshaft options available;
several final drive ratios available on item (c) and (d);
Disadvantages are:-
item (a) alteration of twincam auxiliary driveshaft to replace oil pump/distributor gears, both on the auxiliary shaft and at the base of distributor in block (PBS kits no longer available) ;
item (a) is only an option for block mounted distributors (not cam box mounted) and requires an offset inlet manifold (available) to have sidedraft carburettors not foul the block mounted distributor;
item (c) no synchromesh, "dog" engagement;
item (d) robustness unknown

hallo Trevor ,the cluth plate porsche have the same splin like the Fiat. I have taken +-11 cm from both bellhousings and place the engine togheter with those two parts .Now I weld this togheter and have a correct new bellhousing. I dont need to change engine . I fit a distributor lon the rear off exhaust camshaft and use normale intake manifold with the Webers.I will use the
a normale gearbox ,no L.S our dougbox because I will drive some regularty rallys with the car no races so more comfort than heavy work
Another possibility is to turn the 850 gearbox upside down(? correct) and change flywheel to 850.On that moment I need to make a adaptor with T.C engine
Our mayby someone make shaft to let turn the T.C left ?

Hallo Guy,
PBS used to make an auxiliary shaft to left turn twincams; it used Ford Escort (US) gears no longer available.
I have photos I can post of the minor engineering involved.
It could be done today using a Fiat 242 or 242E distributor (S147P) and one purpose made small gear inserted into the twincam auxiliary shaft, to match the distributor gear.
If no 242/242E distributor available, then the readily available new S147 distributor can be easily converted.
I have photos I can post of the minor engineering involved.
I will post the photos if I can workout how to post them.

Hello Guy,
Images mentioned in post a few minutes ago.
-
pbs kit images and Fiat 242 distributor images
-
wow ,where are friends for.
Now finding some one that can make the small gear on the auxiliary shaft
-
update today ;special shocks fitting,doors fitted en rear bonnet on place
-
Starting to look nice! Let those pictures coming!
-
become to be a rallycar
Here you can also see the moulding for the frontwindow.This will be use to make a new one because old one was missing on factory
-
starting on making place for fueltank,fitting steering,front airflow from radiator and front bonnet fittings
Also whe wish to keep a good size wheel like a spare .So a bit less fueltank must go in.
-
a update and now waiting to build brakes and engine gearbox inside
-
back from paintjob and some painting letter handwork because I wish the old style
-
with his painting and waiting
-
Our 5 gearbox :Porsche and Fiat
-
gearbox is now ready . This one you can use in almost all type from OT to TCR
