Title: A112 Head
Post by: ChrisD on March 23, 2007, 10:45:20 am
Just a simple question I hope. Does the A112 903cc and A112 1050cc engines use the same head? I found a A112 Abarth 70hp engine but it is missing the head. Finding heads from 903cc is no problem, but I don;t know if the Abarth head had bigger valves or any other dieferences.

I will get a head from a 903 engine and port-polish it. Can anyone tell me the correct valve size in order to use one 40DCOE carb???

Thanks for the help

Chris

Hi Chris

I have a 1050 A112 short engine, I used a 903 Fiat 127 head no probs.

HI,

I believe the A112 70 HP head will have marginally larger valves.  Also the A112 head had a small "eyebrow" relief around the larger intake valve.  As far as the combustion chamber is concerned, they are pretty much the same as the 850 and 903.  I have used all of these heads, and frankly I cannot find any difference on the engine dyno.
