I think we need to clarify that Steve's suggestion for 3MA-2008 is, as it claims, simply a suggestion. We've had a discussion about suggested locations for the 2008 3MA on the 131mirafiori website (http://www.131mirafiori.com) (please see http://131mirafiori.com/smf/index.php?topic=228.0 (http://131mirafiori.com/smf/index.php?topic=228.0)). Even though the poll was more for fun than to actually determine the location of the next 3MA, the UK has received the most votes.
Judging from this year's 3MA, we believe 3MAs should remain pure and about the 131 and the people that come with them and so should be self-contained and all about the driving and the social aspect. For 2008 we want to repeat the simplicity and success of 3MA-2007. When asked "what did you enjoy most?" all who were present at the 3MA in 2007 said "THE DRIVING!" While we would all like to visit Guy Moerenhout's museum in Antwerp and drool over the lovely cars there (which of course include Fiat 131s) we don't feel such a visit should be part of the 3MA. I for one would certainly visit Guy Moerenhout's museum in my 131 should an alternative event be organised in the area. Perhaps Steve Parrish should take up the challenge and organise something there.
As mantioned above, the 3MA is all about the 131 and the driving. Ireland gave us some utterly superb roads to enjoy our cars to the absolute maximum and we want to repeat this in 2008. The favourite but not confirmed location to do it all again in 3MA-2008 is Scotland where we'd be able to drive our 131s in places like this:
