Ciao!

Does the a112 abarth engine fit the 600 gearbox?
What modifications must be made?

Thanks!

It'll mate up fine....I wouldn't mind doing this too if I could find a reasonable bottom end.

The only modification is to take off 1 cm from the gearboxaxle.

I recentlly installed an A112 engine to my 600. I cut of 1cm from the gearbox axle and the engine fitted just fine. I used Fiat 600 flywheel, cluch disk and preasure plate but the engine spins. One possibility is that my cluch disk is not new (but it is not for trash too). I have ordered a new set of cluch disk, preasure plate and bearing to install and I hope that it will make the problem go away.
Any other ideas or sugestions of what to do if the problem is not the cluch disk??

you can use one from some 850 our 126 bis     ,170 mm  our you can also place stronger springs(from valves inside the mechanic)I use now A112 all and take a VW starter with adaptor plate

THe 850 cluch disk and preasure plate is the same with the 600? The guy in my local parts shop told me that they are not the same and I can not use them. And he only sales Fiat parts (so I guess he knows). I use the standar Fiat 600 starter and it didn't seem to have a problem. I will see how the car will roll with the new 600 parts installed and let you know.

So, if I got it right, I use Fiat 850 cluch disk 160 or 170mm and standard Fiat 600 preasure plate and flywheel, right?
