A112 engine marks HELP PLEASE
« on: October 05, 2011, 09:18:58 pm »

Hi there,

I have a 1000tc replica which has a A112 engine.

I have been told it is a A112 abarth engine bit not sure if its  70hp

It has a A112 head and 40 Weber with correct bolt on parts

I have read other threads on hear which say about A1 or A2 (A5) markings

But the only marks I can see are the following

A112 AB FIAT on the block

The bloke did buy the new block in 2002 from a VERY well known Abarth dealer in the UK

And has fitted all Abarth springs and valves in the head

Any help would be great

:-)

You can find the engine type & serial number stamped into the front face of the block, above the timing chain cover & below the distributor.
