1300 OT Periscope - chassis
« on: November 05, 2003, 03:43:18 am »
I am searching for history of this model.  Also the 1000 SP sports racing car.  I am presently searching for an 850 for parts to make a replica
1300 OT.

I attended the Goodwood Revival and was disappointed because there
were no ABARTH representation.  Only Alfa TZ-1 and TZ-2

Goodwood Revival meeting

Note your comments.  It is actually very hard to get a car entered into the Revival meeting.  Last year there were two Abarths - a Porsche Abarth Carrera (356B Abarth) and I think a Simca Abarth.  I will let Guy have my photographs of them so that they can be put on the site.

Regards

David Robey

ps Hopefully, as Guy says, we will get some Abarth there for next year.

Are there any chassis blueprints around for the 1000SP or the periscope?
I will check into the GB club.

If nothing else available in blueprint form for an OT1300 (Periscopo) chassis , perhaps an enlarged copy of the drawing of plan,sections/elevations of a chassis and body as well as two informative photos at pages 276,277 of the book ABARTH the man, the machines, author Luciano Gregio published by Giorgio Nada Editore srl , in 2002 , ISBN: 88-7911-263-5 could be helpful. The scale drawing dimensions wheelbase, track, length, width and height and shows mechanical and chassis framing and if enlarged appropiately could be used for reasonably accurate sizing. Good luck in your search and please let me know if you are able to locate a blueprint.

Thank you, Trevor.  I will see what I may find there.
Should I do a replica, I would like it to be somewhat
authentic.  I am able to design a space-frame for almost
any leight weight machine.

Thanks again, Jack Molleur

hallo all, there is misunderstanding about this car:the car first serie is base was a 850 floorpan and not tubulair our simca,if you have one in your garage like me for molding form a car in need of restoration than you see it.I can make photos if you d'ont belif it.   THE biposto ,2000 SP are tubulair chassis and whe work on it
