leaking coolant / water pump
« on: April 24, 2011, 04:14:56 am »
The "shorty" water pump on my 850TC replica is leaking-- apparently from the flat cover at the back of the pump (furthest from the pulley)

Are there rebuild kits, or should I get a new one.

Who has them?

Thank you,

Jim

Jim, you don't say what pump you have.  If it's a PBS one, Paul vander Heyden is the one to talk to.  If it's an A112 one,  I have seen many of the A112 pumps for sale on ebay, mostly in Italy.  I just looked and see prices in the 30-40 Euro range.  Otherwise Obert probably has or can get pumps or parts for them.

As a follow-up, I got an A112 pump on on ebay. I had to have the pulley switched over from the old pump because the engine uses a toothed belt rather than a V belt, but it was no problem.

Thanks
