oil pump and carburator in early 595
« on: February 04, 2011, 07:01:13 pm »
Hello,

I have a question about the Abarth oil-pump and the carb in the 595.
as I read in Deganello: ABARTH 595 695 at the bottom of page 12, Abarth used an oil pump that differed from the Fiat-500-pump:
Sono nuovi e costruiti appositamente anche i postoni, l'albero a camme, il carburatore Solex C 28 PBI, il silenziatore di scarico, la pompa dell'olio e la relativa coppa.

that statement refers to early 595 from 1963 onwards.

What I wonder is:
  • I always thought there was a Solex C28IB-2 on the Abarth 595. But Deganello doesn't mention that type of carb. Did Abarth use the C28PBI in the early years and did they later change it to the C28IB-2?
  • what was the difference in the oil pump?
Can anyone help me?

I'm looking for original Abarth parts for my Fiat 500 and Fiat 600 (want to build a derivazione 750).

please email me, if you want to sale... Thank you!
