Uno turbo brakes in a 128
« on: September 14, 2004, 10:42:04 pm »
hi all, this is my first post, i tried the search but came up with nothing...

i'm lookin to fit uno turbo brakes onto a 128 sedan all around... but i'm wondering if i'll have to replace the master cylinder and brake booster (servo)... i know the uno cylinder is 22mm and the stock 128 one is 19mm (if i'm not mistaken)

do those 3mm really make that big a difference? i figure i'll have more brake pedal travel but will it be unusable?

conversely, could i use the uno booster and cylinder with the stock 128 brakes? i need to know because the stock booster is shot and i need to buy a new one anyways, so i was thinkin why not buy the uno one rite away? i don't wanna buy the same thing twice, see...

hope that makes sense...  :?

thanks much

It is better to buy and put Uno T breake master cylinder, or You can also use Ritmo TC ( 105,125 or 130TC).
Stock 128 cylinder will be to "small to feed breakes with enough breake fluid".

My opinion is to put Uno T breake kallipers and Turbo or Ritmo master cylinder. Than You will have far to good breakes for Your 128.

I also have this in mine 128 Berlinnetta ( 3p )

Kind reagrsd.

thanks for your reply Qba...

here's another question...

do you know what size the threads are on the uno turbo master cylinder? (the holes where the hard brake lines screw into the cylinder)

i've heard they're not the same size as the factory 128 master cylinder... so, will i be able to use the same hard brake lines, or will i have to replace them all?

much appreciated

cheers :?:

hi.

the holes and threheds should be the same. in mine were the same.
but in mine opinion, try to put steal-wounded breake hoses....you will newer return to hard -copper ones. breakes are more efective and less defectiv

also try to think abot drilled rottors and "soft" racing breake pads.

regards.
