Hi Ras, Great looking build. I, along with everyone else on this forum, am very jealous!
Regarding your front cross member setup:
Might be worthwhile double checking the shock absorber is long enough and/or is pinned in the correct/best location. A lot of these kits are sold with a "bolt in" promise but sometimes at the expense of the suspension set up itself. In order to fit this criteria, a very small short stroke shock is often used. In your pics I noticed the car up on a joist and the A-arms at full droop. How much shock travel will be left when the car is fully loaded (you, fuel, spare tyre etc) on the ground?
I did a similar conversion with my 600 and ended up using a much longer shock/spring and cut through the wheel arch into the front hood area (as TCR Abarth).Mine would regularly bottom-out the shock with normal/street use. With Abarth type of set up you could also put a strut brace between the towers to add strength. I guess with a twin cam in the tail she'll be a bit of a handful!
This would ofcourse mean more work but believe me, you only what to do this job once.
Sorry if this seems negative on your build but no disrespect is intended. Forums are a great way of sharing knowledge and experiences. Maybe you've already checked all this stuff anyways
The 850 coupe is my favourite Fiat shape and a big motor would be my dream car. Good luck with your build and thanks for sharing.
Cheers,
Toby
