The engine that you see in front off the car is now in the 124 so whe have its original 236 engine and the 131  16 valve is for seal .In the Monte carlo rally 1975 the say Fiat was driving with the same 131 engine .Also founded and place in, the old rally recaro seat instead of the new fusina's Now some test and  a rally

Hi Guy

First of all, the original colour scheme of the '74-'76 factory race cars
was lobster orange and pistachio green, in matt finish.

The second comment is on the engine. Your engine, on the front of the car, has a strange FIAT label on the cylinder head.
The original 16 valve engine, the 232 in the different cubic version, has an ABARTH inscription on the valve carrier.
Without doubt it's an original design cylinder head, but do you know from where does your engine coming from? :?:

Ok. Now I can tell you the story of this head.
In the seventies the Guardia Civil (Spanish Police) ordered a not known quantity of Seat 124 coupe. This very special car was build for trying to catch smugglers and burglars in cars pursuits. So the engine was tuned up to match the need...
This head was part of this tune up. Strangely it was not named Seat but Fiat.
At this moment I’m still researching documents to prove this. Perhaps our Spanish members could do some research for us? It were a nice surprise to find some of this heads in a Spanish scrap yard.
Isn’t it? Let me know...
