My Spider ready for the criterium des cevennes classic 2007
« on: August 28, 2008, 10:31:59 am »
Hello,
just wanted to share, this car has done more than 2000 km of special stage since simple preparation, so far only one gearbox suppport has broken and  one old set of michelin Tyres MXL...quite impressive. Now I need to rebuild the front spindle, that is a winter Job ! Got a very good road handling with 4 spax shocks and by simply switching the front leaf spring support to an Abarth strait type.
Next stage will be to fit in a complete A112 AB 70 hp engine that is under preparation. however I have a small question for you specialist is it better to build a 980 cc from a 850 block that will be more square or to go simply for the std 1050 of the A112 ? Thanks for any advices.
Cheers
Simon
