Side marker lights
« on: June 30, 2008, 04:46:04 pm »
I'm wondering where to find a set of the side marker lights for the front fenders on a 600.  I would like to get the correct type and not some cheap aftermarket ones, or ones for another model.  I also need a pair of them for a '66 1300/124 and am not sure if they are the same ones or not.  I'll need gaskets too.  Anyone know where to get them?  I've seen them on ebay many times, but they all look like the wrong ones.

Thanks,
Gil

Thanks JS.  I have seen that style before but assumed that they are not the correct ones because they have a spade type connector.   Am I wrong on this?  I would have expected the early cars to have used a barrel (not sure of the proper name) type connector that was in general use in the 50s to early 60s (or so).  One of those lights has two connectors out the rear, and the other appears to have only one?  The exterior looks the same as the ones on my 1300/124 though.

The 600 & early 600D will most likely use the single bullet-style terminal on the bulb socket. The 850 will use the spade-type terminal. A 600 speedo/gauge unit (or dashboard indicator lamp) light socket/holder can be swapped for the spade terminal socket on either of these sidemarker lamps (the light socket pulls out of the sidemarker on the back).

Thanks J.S.  I knew that there was a reason I still have a box of old 600 gauge clusters and wiring.  :)
