« on: July 09, 2007, 09:31:06 am »
The 3MA is an international meeting of Fiat 131 owners and their cars.
The first 3MA took place in Southwest Ireland from Friday 18th to Monday 21st of May 2007.

Subject: 3MA 2008

Hi guys,
im having problems posting on the site, my problems seem to revolve around my employers server here in Qatar so its no great problem to me as ill be back in touch directly when i get back to home (Spain).
My reason for writing is to propose another venue for 3MA 2008.
Ive been giving it some serious thought and i recon Guy Moerenhouts museum in Antwerp would be an excellent venue. Guy will probably be more than happy to see us and may even get directly involved.
I for one would arrange to get my car transported to the region and attend, if just to go to what looks like a fabulous museum.
Eurpoean convoys would not have to cross the channel so you would probably get a good attendance.
Give it some thought and if you hvent already seen it go look at guys home page and take a look at the museum.
I would be obliged in the mean time if you could post my suggestion on the site.
Regards
Steve Parrish

I think we need to clarify that Steve's suggestion for 3MA-2008 is, as it claims, simply a suggestion. We've had a discussion about suggested locations for the 2008 3MA on the newbielink:http://www.131mirafiori.com [nonactive] (please see newbielink:http://131mirafiori.com/smf/index.php?topic=228.0 [nonactive]). Even though the poll was more for fun than to actually determine the location of the next 3MA, the UK has received the most votes.

Judging from this year's 3MA, we believe 3MAs should remain pure and about the 131 and the people that come with them and so should be self-contained and all about the driving and the social aspect. For 2008 we want to repeat the simplicity and success of 3MA-2007. When asked "what did you enjoy most?" all who were present at the 3MA in 2007 said "THE DRIVING!" While we would all like to visit Guy Moerenhout's museum in Antwerp and drool over the lovely cars there (which of course include Fiat 131s) we don't feel such a visit should be part of the 3MA. I for one would certainly visit Guy Moerenhout's museum in my 131 should an alternative event be organised in the area. Perhaps Steve Parrish should take up the challenge and organise something there.

As mantioned above, the 3MA is all about the 131 and the driving. Ireland gave us some utterly superb roads to enjoy our cars to the absolute maximum and we want to repeat this in 2008. The favourite but not confirmed location to do it all again in 3MA-2008 is Scotland where we'd be able to drive our 131s in places like this:

Please visit the website dedicated to the Fiat 131 and the 3MA at newbielink:http://www.131mirafiori.com [nonactive] where you can register your interest for attending the 3MA in 2008. Simply complete the form at newbielink:http://www.131mirafiori.com/join.htm [nonactive] and we'll keep you updated.
