Engine bay floor sheet metal
« on: April 11, 2007, 10:21:32 pm »
Hello all,

Did the Fiat Abarth 1300/124 have sheet metal engine bay floor pieces as Fiat 850's did?  Did they simply modify the 850 sheet metal parts, or did they make special ones to fit?  Is this not as important for the front radiator cars than it was for the rear radiator cars?

Thanks,
Eric

 Hi Eric,
There is a photo in Al Consentino's    Abarth Guide   page 277    of the  1966   prototype 1300/124 coupe with a right hand side splash tray to engine bay, showing a flat sheet tray, with shaped upturned edge hole under oil filter for access to the filter.
Regards   Trevor
