Abarth Ritmo 1600 twin cam convertible??
« on: July 13, 2009, 03:14:40 am »
To Guy and all:

Did the factory actually build such a car as an Abarth Ritmo 1600 twin cam convertible??

There is one here in the US that is for sale, and claims to be a real Abarth and not a conversion from a Fiat Ritmo convertible.  It has the 1600cc twin cam, with one 2bbl downdraft.

What is this car, in nice "daily driver" condition worth??

Thanks,
Stu Schaller

I have found out that only 10 of these cars were built, and the official desiognation is Abarth Ritmo Martini Racing 100S convertible.   Mine is the only one known that is left in the whole world of the 10 built!

Here are some photos of the car.  The motor is 1585cc with a Weber 2 barrel downdraft 32/34 DMTR.   I have been told by Martini Racing just 10 were built, and this is the only one known.   The speedometer is in kph (max 200), and I have had the car over 180kph with the top down!  Wheels are Abarth with 185x60x14 tires.   Seats are Recaro.

Best Regards,

hello Stuart,
I think you must be happy to drive with this .
The Ritmo Cabrio is a underrated car and I like it to .
I have 2x first serie ,a Palimura and one white .I will see via Crac forum iff some one have more info about this car.
Wheels on this car are lancia beta coupe.
Mayby you can sort out the original Abarth lookelike for the Ritmo Cabriolet (other offset like 130) It was a option on this

Guy:

I am not sure exactly what the car is!   According to the German papers which show the owner as Cromodora Wheels/ Fiat Germany, it is from 1980, but according to everything I can find, this car, with the 1585cc twin cam and a Weber 32/34 had to be built afdter May 1983??!!
