Do the Abarth OT motors start as 124 push rod motors? Do they have the three main bearings like the 600/850 stuff?
What can I test for you?

the 1300/124 are all starting like a 1100 cc 124 engine  .The engine in this car is  a 2000 cc twin cam that turns to left NOT  right .The are no 600 parts in Only 850 types

There are no 600 parts and no 850 parts in the engine now and also originally, this actual car has a ritmo engine. The original genuine 4 cars had abarth 5 bearing 2 litre 184 BHP alloy block motors CCW to a fiat 850 gearbox casing with all abarth internals.
How can this car have swiss abarth papers?
Isnt it a OT 2000 lookalike?
The OT 1300 motors are 5 bearing blocks, not 3 bearing like fiat 850 and 600.
Many copies like this car have been made around the world, powered with alfa sud, subaru, lancia and fiat twin cams and even a hyabusa motor,(now also include ritmo).
If you were at the spa abarth meet 2006 you would have seen leo's beautiful 'one of 4' chasing another genuine Abarth racer around the track.

hallo Grant ,this car is like you can read and see is a remake on base off a Fiat Abarth serie 2 1300/124 .Car had Swiss papers .A price EX-Works  will say =this is price like is now when you collect here and all cost are for you .Allway when you buy somewhere  ex-works all taxes to import our paperwork for import have to be worked out be the buyer.PS engine is lancia base .And the first 1300 OT and abarth Simca 1300 engines where 3 bearings. On the first line you can also read that I say that it was a 1300/124 .(other campagnolo wheels etc....) and can go up when I do some more transformation on it what I think will beter for it .

I have always been curious about this "Abarth only" motor since so few people have even seen one. So it is an alloy block? Not to contradict but I have a very nice Italian book which shows this motor to be cast iron. It also shows 3 main bearings. Twin cams, and the book says the motor was a fiat based 1100 block but thicker special for Abarth. Funny the book also contradicts it self in other areas and I think the author was not an automobile person but mostly reliable for taking notes and writing the story about Carlo. I'll look up the book and take some pictures to show you guys. I'm sure you've seen this book, I think it says "Abarth" on the cover and the book is in Italian. When I saw the 2000 car i figured it has the same motor as the sports 2000? This would make a really fast street car.

Guy I think this car you have looks really great. It would be very expensive to reproduce even as it is. I think there is an Abarth 1300 forsale at Hemmings motor news for 22,000$$us. It looks like a race prepared car. These 1300's are not very common here in the US. I personally have only seen two in the flesh.

I would like to ask you about the rear suspension, is it 850/1300? has it been changed to 2000 spec? Not that the 2 shock system looks like a good one...imagine every time you want to change the ride height or spring rate!
What can I test for you?

Did the OT1300/124 have the stock 850 rear suspension, or the 2 shock/wheel suspension of the OT 2000?  I am trying to find details on the OT2000 rear suspension uprights....

Did the OT1300/124 have the stock 850 rear suspension, or the 2 shock/wheel suspension of the OT 2000?

The 1300/124 Coupe had the standard Fiat 850 rear suspension.

If this car was originally a "Fiat Abarth serie 2 1300/124" as you say, why does it have a Series 1 body? ???
