History of 1958 750 GT Zagato Corsa
« on: July 17, 2006, 02:02:55 pm »
Hi all

I am wanting to trace as far as I can the race and owner history for my car VIN# 383101. As far as I know it has been in the USA all it's life and has been used extensively for racing. Any help would be gratefully received.

Regards

Neil

Hi,
I tried to email you direct but it bounced back undelivered, so here is what I know.
The only info I have is that 383101 was with Frederic L Aibel NJ USA then went to Griggs USA.
The car apparently also used the ID-plate from 401141 for a while.
This Info is sourced from John deBoers who has a register for all rare italian cars.
You can ask him for more info at his email            iicar@earthlink.net
Hope this is of some assistance to you.
Cheers
Nick

Many thanks, I have received a good amount of information from John De Boer and I now need any information about it's history before Fred Aibel if possible. John De Boer's email address is correct.

If you try googling Fred Aibel you come up with a site regarding Dellow cars, seems he is still into old cars and has an e mail address
(if its the same Fred Aibel).

I googled the previous owner of my 750 GT and eventually ended up talking to the original owner who bought the car in 1958.

Mnay thanks Marcus I have found the link.

Hope your restoration is going well, I must see it if possible - I understand that you removed the rollcage - is that correct.

Hi Neil
No I havent started the restoration yet. The car is still sitting in my heated garage.
The roll cage is still in it but you are right I dont pan to keep it in there.

Too many competing demands for my time and money!

I gather you had a great time in Spa and met up with my pal Simon?
