Ritmo 75 gr.2

« on: June 07, 2006, 12:26:55 PM »

In this topic I will be presenting my car with its technical details. It will be in episodes and I hope you like it. Don't hesitate to give your comments and adds...

General specs:

Engine
Transversal four cylinders in line, two valves per cylindre. camshaft on top.  86,4 X 63,9. Cilinder: 1498 ccm. feeded by a Kogelfischer injection . Electronic ignition Magneti Marelli. Power 160 hp at 7600 tr/min. Lubrification with wet sump. (There where also dry sumps build) . 17 kg/m a 5600 tr/min.

gearbox:
Synchronised et  - limited slip ZF at 25%. frontwheeldrive. clutch monodisc Sachs.

SUSPENSION:
front:  telescopique type mac pherson with transversal spring.
behind:  telescopique type Bilstein with  transversal spring .  Rally tuned suspension. Disc brakes on the four wheels. (aircooled in front)

Brakes:

First the rear. The same you can see on the drawings below. I think they are the same as from the 128 racer.

On the drawings you can see it clearer:

The front brake is a little diffrend than on the drawings. But its exactely the same as on the Ritmo made buy Ferraris like you can see on the black and white picture. It mekes me conclude that the real factory cars (like mine) where build slightely diffrend than the standard Rally and racers for which I have the book and you can see the drawings....

Here is the Ferraris I mentioned....

The drawings are clear. You see that Abarth makes a difference between normal and the heavy duty brakes. The support to the train has more room I think for cooling reasons...

front suspension

front left side

mounting to the case...

same....

vieuw of the left mounting

front left spring(The shocks are Mac Pherson)

Here you see the drawings. There is again a difference between the superior or standard racegear.. I think the difference is mostly the shocks and springs. For eatch type of race there is a different spring proposed.

To be continued......

These are great pictures.   Do you know if the rear suspension layout is the same or similar to that  used on the Filipinetti or Trivellato 128's ?  Did they use coilovers?  I can't find any pictures to see.

I would say it is diffrent as they reviewed completely the suspension at that time. (one leaf transversal!) Maybe Guy can help you some more!
