old magazine from South Afrika show the  rallycars  with the airintake in the midle because in the begin this cars where fitted with the Fiat 130  V6 engine .Remeber that in the abarth 031 this engine had 285 Hp .With brake problem the change engine to 16 V  131 abarth  with carburator .The problems with Apartheid make that the fit in the rear a BMW diff.This was also in some Italian compagny s because this was better and BMW and Fiat had the same factory in that time in South Afrika.The where tree cars,one Alitalia;one S.A.A. ;and one TAP,like you see all airlines .
