Fiat 600/Abarth 850TC
« on: April 18, 2006, 07:22:15 pm »
Hi all,

i have question to shock absorbers for my Fiat Abarth 1000TC replica. I would like to to know what type of shock absorbers is good for my car. I know that is possible to buy adjustable shock absorbers. If you write me what exact type (catalogue number or exact name which is good for order) and company which is producet it, it could be great, i think that very common are using shocks by Spax or Koni but i dont know exact type. So i need shock absorber for rear axle and for front as well. I dont have independent front suspension so i dont need shocks with springs.

Thank you very much for your answers

I have KONI cliassic (the black one) installed in my replicat. The shocks was originaly made for the front of a Volvo Amazon, but dimmentions are the same in the 600. I use these for about a year now with no problems and the car is very stable. They are adjustable too so you can determine how hard it is going to be. You can install them in the front and the rear of the car. I don't remember the code but I am sure that you can find them easy.

details re Zastavas
« Reply #5 on: January 02, 2007, 01:19:32 am »
Does anyone know in what year Zastava starting putting the ignition key on the steering column (with an anti-theft lock, I assume) on their version of the Fiat 600D?

When did they start putting shoulder seat belts in that car--the kind you pull across your lap and shoulder from the side of the car?

Thank you,

Anyone know what year Zastava this would be?  It looks different than a  photo of a Zastava I found on line.

See how the steering lock is very different. Also there are only 3 switches in the chrome panel in the dash, like the Fiat.

@ Pantdino: Red Zastava interior is not original one in respect of three switches, Zastava had them, but on the versions before or early  seventieths where different steering wheel was attached as well ( like F600 ) as dashboard, seats... As far as I know Zastava started to build in steering locks before 1975.

This is definetely not a Zastava, only a replica of Abarth, also Zastava started to install safety belts after 1978.

This is my Zastava 750SC, 81'

I have a 1974 zastava 750 that had the steering lock and the 3 switches in the dashboard. No seat belt though. Another Zastava 750 1982 I have has the steering wheel lock, seat belt and 2 switches like the picture of dejanserbia. Installing it I guess it is easy because locking mechanism ataches to the steering wheel axle in the point where the axle attaches to the dashboard. The only problem is the electrics, because this switch has a possition where it cuts of all the electrics of the car (but leaves the steering wheel unlocked)
