Brake caliper adaptator 124CSA Gp3
« on: December 14, 2005, 11:16:24 pm »
Hi,
I own an ex  group3 124 CSA.
I get ATE front aluminium calipers (as fitted on Porsche S) and I'm looking for  the adaptation parts to fix them on drive train.
Is someone get plans or pictures or parts required?
Thank you

Thank you for your quick answer....
I saw the pictures but it doesn't help me completely because I haven't the exact measurements, entrax etc... for perfect fitting.
Do you have a plan with dimensions?
Best regards

What calipers ?
There was two kinds of aluminum ATE calipers.
One from Porsche S (disk 256 non ventilated)
Ine from Porsche RS (disk 256 ventilated)
The adaptor plates are more or less similar (different thickness
on bolt side)

Dear Guy
These disks are original 124 Abarth Grp4(see original label) .
I can provide dimensions -if you want-
as well as dimensions of the original adaptor plates.

Thank you for all these documents,
as I asked the question , it'll be very kind to give on the web the dimensions of adaptator plate...
Unfortunately, I think that my calipers are from S and not RS  (they were sold like original ones for Gp4...).
Do you think that the solution of Guy (Croma discs ) could be adapted?
Thank you for answer

In fact, as I look to your calipers,
it seems to me that yours are a bit larger than me... Is It the only difference between S and RS types?
Can you give me  the sizes?

I think I know what type of calipers you have. They are newer version than
the original ones. They have the same bore in the pistons but different
distance between mounting holes
. The must have a slight difference in the weight
also (they are heavier).
Sorry I do not know the type of adaptor plate you need (my adaptors are
for the original).
I am pretty sure that you can adapt the croma disks  playing with the caliper
offset (according to croma disk bell) and you will need a pretty thick spacer
for the rims in order to fit the external piston of the caliper inside the rim.
The Grp4 cars had anyway 20mm aluminium spacers to extend the chassis width.
Guy uses all the time croma disks so I think is more experienced on this.

Hi,
distance between fitting holes: 87,5mm
below: view of the calipers: nearly the same... disformation of pictures perhaps due to close view.
